The protection of your personal data and privacy is important to Laura Family Offices GmbH (hereinafter referred to as LFO / we). We therefore provide you with the following information about how we process your personal data, to whom we transfer it, and what rights you have.
We process your personal data in accordance with data protection regulations (GDPR and the Data Protection Act (DSG) in their current versions).

2. For what purposes is your data processed?

2.1 You can send us a message via the contact form on our website. Your message will be transmitted via our form to our SMTP server, which will then deliver it to us. We use the data you provide exclusively for the purpose of processing your request. We do not share this information with third parties. The transmitted data will be deleted after 6 months.

2.2 We have optimized our website so that no cookies are set. For this reason, you will not encounter any annoying cookie queries on our site. However, we use the free Matomo software to collect visitor statistics. Your visit to our website is tracked anonymously. Specifically, the last two bytes of your IP address are anonymized, making it impossible to establish a connection between the usage data collected and your person.

3. Where and for how long will your data be stored?

3.1 Our website is operated in a data center belonging to netcup GmbH in Vienna. Access to the servers is secured by video surveillance and access controls. You can find more information on this directly at netcup.

3.2 Our web server records access to our website and stores this information for 72 hours for the purpose of evaluating technical problems and cyber attacks. After 72 hours, your IP address and information about your visit will be automatically deleted. The log files collected by the web server are not statistically evaluated or further processed.

4. Who receives your data?

4.1. Only those departments or employees who need your data for processing purposes will receive it. In addition, our commissioned processors (IT service providers, printing service providers, marketing, etc.) will also receive your data if they need it to perform their respective services. All processors are carefully selected and take appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure that your data is processed in accordance with data protection obligations and that your rights are protected. Above all, the processor is not permitted to use your personal data for its own purposes.

4.2. With regard to the transfer of data to other third parties, we would like to point out that such a transfer can only take place on the basis of a valid legal basis and a specified purpose.

5. What are your rights?

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, transfer, and object to the processing of your data. Please contact us if you wish to exercise these rights.

5.1. Right for infromation: You may request confirmation from us as to whether personal data concerning you is being processed. If this is the case, you have the right to obtain information about this personal data and the information specified in Art. 15 (1) GDPR (e.g., purposes of processing, categories of personal data).

5.2. Right to rectification: You have the right to request that we correct your inaccurate personal data without delay.

5.3. Right to erasure: Right to erasure of your personal data, for example,

  • (a) if the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed, or
  • (b) if it is being processed unlawfully, or
  • (c) in the case of processing based on a declaration of consent, if you withdraw your consent.

However, the right to erasure does not apply if the exceptions specified in Art. 17 (3) GDPR apply, for example if the processing is necessary to fulfill a legal obligation under EU law or Austrian law (e.g., statutory retention obligations) or to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims.

5.4. Restriction of processing: You have the right to restrict processing if

  • (a) you dispute the accuracy of the personal data, for a period enabling us to verify the accuracy of the personal data;
  • (b) the processing is unlawful and you oppose the erasure of the personal data and request the restriction of its use instead;
  • (c) we no longer need the personal data for the purposes of processing, but you require this data to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims, or
  • (d) you have objected to the processing pursuant to Art. 21 (1) GDPR (see below), as long as it is not yet clear whether our legitimate reasons outweigh yours.

5.5. right of objection: In accordance with Art. 21 (1) and (2) GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data if the processing of personal data

  • (a) is carried out to safeguard our legitimate interests. We will refrain from processing your data if you have an overriding interest in protecting your privacy.
  • (b) is carried out for the purpose of direct marketing. This can be objected to at any time without giving reasons.

5.6. Right to data portability: You may request that the data you have provided to us be made available in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, provided that we process this data on the basis of your revocable consent or for the performance of a contract, and that this processing is carried out using automated means. You have the right to transfer this data to another controller. If technically feasible, you have the right to direct transfer from one controller to another.

6. Competent complaints office

Even though we make every effort to protect your data, differences of opinion about how your data is used cannot be completely ruled out. If you believe that we are using your data in an impermissible manner, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority. However, we hope that you will contact us first so that we can address any concerns you may have.
